TP-Link router stopped working no lights - TP Link Technical Support

TP-link routers are considered as one of the best routers but sometimes technical problems also arise in them that frustrates the user. No matter what kind of problem you are experiencing with TP-Link router, from a flak connection to WiFi troubles, or your TP-Link router stopped working all of a sudden then you need to apply some troubleshooting tips. Whenever your TP-Link router stopped working and there are no lights indication then first and foremost you should immediately reboot all devices. If rebooting TP-Link router does not do the trick then reset your router to factory defaults and perform a fresh install.

Try these basic steps at first if TP-Link router stopped working -
Issue with ISP – If the problem is related to ISP then “NO Connection” message will appear on the screen. In such situation, you need to wait for sometimes so that internet connectivity restores back on its own. Restart modem and TP-Link router and if the problem continues then contact your ISP.

Loose Connection/Weak Signals – If you have connected TP-Link router over LAN then confirm that ethernet cables are inserted properly and none of the connection is loose. If you are connected over wireless WAN, then confirm that your TP-Link router is kept at a location where it is receiving adequate signals. Change the TP-Link router position and then check if it is working or not.

Bridging Wrong Configurations – If you are using your TP-Link router for bridging then verify that you are using the same password as well as the channel as of your modem. This is because if you are using different password and channel then it will result in no connectivity. So, carefully check the WDS Bridge and Repeater Settings and make sure that both of them matches with the modem’s Wi-Fi settings. However, if you have different SSID then it will not create any issue.

Reboot TP-Link router & modem -Whenever ISP make changes on their end then such things also change the settings that connect your TP-Link router to the internet. To fix this, unplug modem and router and then wait for 60 seconds. After that, plug both devices and wait for some time until the light stops flashing.

Reset Wireless Adapter - At various times, disabling and re-enabling wireless adapters will reset your connection. For Windows 10 users, press right-click on Windows logo and choose the option “Device Manager”. After that, click on Network Adapters. Locate the option Wireless and then press double click on it. Now a dialog box will open where you have to click on Drivers, and then on Disable button. After that, you have to wait for a few seconds and then click on Enable.
